These are all made of brass and are identical. The center one pictured was flipped over to show the back. These coins are not dated but they are believed to be from around 1951. Each was made with a hole so that they could also be used as a Medal, Medallion, Charm, Pendant, or Key Chain Fob. One side has a company logo and they are marked on the two sides as follows: WCCo WOOD CONVERSION COMPANY FIBER PRODUCTS BALSAM - WOOL NU - WOOD SOLD TO LUMBER DEALERS OVER 30 YEARS These token coins each measure 1'' wide. they appear to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. Below here, for reference, is some additional Historic information that was found on this company: The Wood Conversion Company was incorporated in 1921 by eleven stockholding companies, including the Weyerhaeuser firms. The headquarters was located in Cloquet, Minnesota. On September 3, 1965 the firm's name was changed to Conwed, and on October 22, 1965 the Conwed Corporation was formed. The headquarters later moved to Saint Paul, although the company's plant operations remained in Cloquet. In 1985 the Conwed Corporation was sold to Cardiff Equities Corporation, a subsidiary of the Leucadia Corporation of New York. |
