| | | | The picture shows all three sides of this Old Metal British War Relief Society Match Box Cover. This match cover is not dated but it is believed to be from World War II (1940s). There are only three sides. Two are open for the match drawers and one side is open for the striker. One side pictures a crest with a lion, crown, and banner. It reads as follows: DIEU ET MON DROIT
BRITISH WAR RELIEF SOCIETY
THERE'LL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND It is made of brass and it measures 1-1/8" x 1-5/8" x 1/2". It appears to be in excellent condition with only light wear from use as pictured. |
