The picture shows a view of this Old Unused & Boxed Norwegian Food Serving & Slicing Utensil Also shown is the back or bottom of the box. Originally there would have been a clear covering on the box but it is missing. Inside is a formed blue velvet like insert that holds the serving tool. The handle is made of pewter and the serving end is stainless steel. There is a blade that is probably for slicing and serving cheese. The handle has some different scenes on the front and back. One is of an Archer, one of three soldiers with spears and shields, and the other has Soldiers in a Viking ship. The same scenes are on the back of the handle. It is marked as follows: HEILAG OLAV OG HANS MENN SPOR NORWAY STAINLESS STEEL 18/8 The box back or bottom has cleaning instructions in several languages. It is also marked as follows: PRODUSENT HARDANGER SYLVPLETT KINSARVIK MADE IN NORWAY To judge the sizes the box measures 3-3/8'' x 9-3/8'' x 3/4''. The serving tool or utensil is in mint unused condition as pictured. The box is missing a clear covering as mentioned above. |
