| | | | The picture shows four views of tis Old Hinged Metal Walnut Sewing Kit With Contents. This kit is not dated and the year that it was made is unknown. It is not marked and the maker is unknown as well. This kit would probably be kept or carried in a purse for any emergency sewing or mending that needs to be done. The kit has a yellow felt cloth lined and hinged metal walnut shell with a clasp. Inside is a #9 thimble, multiple color braided threads, and on a flap are a needle, straight pins, and a few safety pins as well. To judge the sizes the closed metal nutshell case measures about 1-3/4'' long. It appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured. |
