The picture shows a view of this Old Sanbornville New Hampshire General Store Photograph Slide. It is not dated but believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. This building was and may still be located just off of Meadow Street near the railroad crossing in downtown Sanbornville, (the economic and administrative center of Wakefield), the Town Hall across from the store is the hub of local government and community activity. It was in Winter when this slides was taken. The store is next to the railroad tracks and a water tower is behind the store. There is a General Store sign on both the front and side of the building. Salada Tea is advertised on both store front windows. There are advertising cans and boxes that can be seen in the windows as well as some kitchen items displayed. The slide measure 2'' x 2''. The slide is in mint as made condition. It is between glass and the black photo tape holding the glass together is coming loose and can be replaced. |
