| | | | The picture shows a view of all (3) Old Unused Newburyport Massachusetts Pin Money Club Pocket Thrift Banks in this lot. These are all identical and the back of one is shown. They are not dated but they are old. These paper dime banks were from The Institution For Savings of 93 State Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts. They were made for you to save a dime a day. You would slip a dime in the slot and mark it on the side to know how much you have saved. The envelope bank would hold $3.00 in dimes. The backs have advertising for Newburyport Garage, Incorporated. Apparently they were also an Oldsmobile car dealership as well. They have a $5.00 coupon on the bank off the price of a car. The pocket thrift banks each measures 2-3/4'' x 4-1/4''. They appear to be in excellent unused condition with some fading to the orange color as pictured. |
