The picture shows a view of this Boxed Set of (6) Miniature Drink Glasses with Cobalt Blue Glass Inserts and Serving Tray. This set is not dated but it is old. It is believed to be from the 1930s or after the war in the late 1940s. The bottom of each metal cup and the bottom of the tray are marked ''MADE IN JAPAN''. The metal that these are made from and the manufacturer are unknown. If it is of any help, these were found amongst many old Catholic or Christian religious items. The cups look like miniature goblets or wine glasses with handles. Inside five of the cups is a thick cobalt blue glass insert. One is missing. The serving tray has a round area for each cup to sit. Both the cups and the tray have clusters of grapes, vines, and leaves. The tray also has two handles and some scroll designs. The set comes in its original unmarked cardboard box. The cups each measures 2-3/16'' tall and the tray measures 6-3/4'' x 4-3/8''. The set appears to be in near mint condition with the exception of the one missing insert as pictured. |
