The figural bank is not dated, but the Pizza Hut Pete advertising character was used by the Pizza Hut restaurant from 1958 to 1967. There is a coin slot on the top of his hat, and a slot to retrive coins on the bottom, There is no cover for the bottom slot, but any tape would work well.
