The picture below shows a larger view of all (4) Different Old Colorful Tobacco Premium Native American Indian Miniature Blanket or Felts in this lot. we have heard these called tobacco blankets, felts, and flannels. They are not dated but they were used as tobacco premiums in the early 1900s. They are not marked and the maker is unknown. Besides geometric patterns, the first one has a bow and arrow, a canoe, a shield, spear smoking pipe, stone hammer or club, a coup stick with feathers, a skull, and more. The second blanket has a teepee, with Native designs, a cooking pot, a smoking pipe with feathers, a tomahawk, arrow, and a shield. The third one has a leather shield with designs, a smoking pipe, a quiver of arrows, and feathers. The fourth one has colorful geometric patterns and two birds. All four of these for one price! These each measure about 8-1/2'' x 5-7/8''. There are a few loose threads on the edges, but otherwise they are clean and appear to be in mint condition as pictured. |
