The picture below shows a larger view of this Unused 1950s Cracker Jack Box Foil Wrapper. The shiny silver areas show up as gray in the image below. This wrapper has some interesting features. It is a transitional wrapper. It has the older version of Sailor Jack & Bingo with the product background. Prior to this wrapper the background of the box was white. To this day the popcorn & peanuts remain as the background. This wrapper was produced by the Cracker Jack Company in the mid 1950s with an arrangement with Reynolds Wrap. The side panel pictures (4) plastic prizes in color, from the time including: Baseball Player (Batter) Stand Up Figure, a Spinning Top, a Stylized Giraffe, and a Police Type Whistle. The wrapper was made for a 1-3/8 oz. box. It measures about 8-9/16" x 7-9/16". It is in excellent to near mint unused condition as pictured and is ready for framing. |
