| | | | The picture below shows larger front and back views of the (2) Old Metal Buster Brown & His Dog Tige Advertising Character Premium Charms in this lot. These charms are not dated but they are old. They were made by the Tootsietoy Company of Chicago, Illinois. In the 1990s some barrels of left over 1910s – 1940s lead Cracker Jack prizes that were made by Tootsietoy, were being painted bright colors and sold as old Cracker Jack prize jewelry and kits, by a company named Cracker Jill. They had apparently misidentified these, as well as some others, as old Cracker Jack prizes. These were made long ago for, and feature the comic strip Characters Buster Brown, and his dog Tige, from the Buster Brown shoe company. They are not dated, but they are believed to be from the 1910 – 1930s era, but they were brightly painted in the 1990s. They could be used on charm bracelets, as necklace pendants, or on earrings. Both of these charms for one price! These measure about 1-3/16'' tall. They appear to be in excellent to near mint condition as pictured. |
