| | | | The picture shows a view of both sides of this Old Thayer McNeil Company Advertising Premium Folding Button Hook Tool. The buttonhook has a 1903 patent date on it. This tool folds closed like a pocket knife. When closed, the hook also serves as a charm loop to put it on a keychain as well. This is a tool to button buttons on vintage or antique shoes or clothing. It was most likely given out to a customer with a purchase to advertise the company. The buttonhook is made of steel and the spring inside works well. It is stamp marked on the two sides as follows: THAYER McNEIL COMPANY.
