| | | The picture below shows a larger view of all in this lot. The needle point work has several kinds of flowers with leaves, with a green pattern edging, and a gold frame. It is all clean, and it was probably well protected for many years. The colors are bright. This Art is nicely framed in a dark wooden frame with heavy wire and brackets and is ready for hanging. It was framed without using any glass. The back has the maker’s name and a family history. We do not know the location where the needlepoint was originally from. The writing on the bright paper back reads as follows: NEEDLEPOINT SEWN IN 1938 TERESA HELEN PLUNKETT THOMAS GREAT GRANDMOTHER OF ERIN GILLIGAN GRANDMOTHER OF MICHELE ST. ONGE MOTHER OF LORRAINE VIRGINIA THOMAS ST. ONGE The framed needlepoint art measures about 14-3/8'' x 14'' x 3/4''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
