The picture below shows a larger view of both sides of this 1940s World War II Allied Minerals Incorporated Bombout Ground Granite Advertising Card. This war time advertisement pictures a home with a bomb falling to it inside a “Victory “V”. It advertises that you can fight bombs better with their product “BOMBOUT” instead of just sand, because “BOMBOUT” contains ground granite which is 80% Felspar, and with testing, that would extinguish a one pound magnesium incendiary bomb in three minutes, which is three to five minutes quicker then just ordinary sand! It also states that 35 pounds of “BOMBOUT” is sufficient for each one pound bomb. Amazing! Anyway, this advertisement can be yours today! The card measures about 4'' x 7''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured, with a single horizontal fold in the center.
