The picture shows a view of all (8) Different Old Death Related Paper Items in this lot. These items are from different times and places, but all of them are old. Included here are the following items: There is a February 21, 1888 printed death announcement for a Henry F. Chase, where the funeral took place at the New Old South Church in Boston, Massachusetts. (top right in the picture) There is an 1893 gold imprinted black remembrance card with a black ribbon for a Charles Fletcher (location unknown), who had passed away on November 7, 1893, Aged 58 Years, 10 Months, and 17 Days. The card pictures a Holy Bible, leaves, flowers, and a paper with a poem. (top center) Next there is an old unused matching paper and envelope for ''Remembrance for All Souls Day''. Both of these have the same image od Jesus Christ, an Angel, and a Priest at an alter. There are spaces on the sheet to list (12) names, an offering, name and address. There are (2) Memoriam or Memory cards and a small newspaper clipping for a George Phillip Brandie, who was accidentally killed on May, 23, 1925, aged 33 years. We believe that the two cards were attached at one time. He was interred in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Rockwood, Sydney (New South Wales, Australia). One card has an image with light beams coming from behind a cloud, a cross, and daisy flowers. The cards were from Mrs. P. Kirby & Son, Ltd. of 153 Phillip Street, Sidney. (center bottom) The final item in this lot is a February 13, 1946 $20.00 receipt from Biddeford, Maine. It was for the opening of a grave for a Hector Donat Paquette. Hopefully these items will finally end up in the hands of family members. All of these items are for one price! To judge the sizes the black remembrance card measures 4-1/4'' x 6-1/2''. These items appear to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. |
