The picture shows a view of this 1944 Secret Staff Film Reports War Department 16mm World War II Film Movie With Tin. Shown is the box and the film on a 7'' metal movie reel. The film is a black & white 16mm World War II Military film. It appears to be of the Invasion of Normandy.

This film contains footage of military aircraft and from military aircraft. There are bombs being dropped and there are many explosions. The locations are unknown, but this is a sound movie and there is probably much information being narrated. There are Army troops, Soldiers, Sailors, and U.S Navy ships. There are boxes of motion sickness preventative being handed out to Soldiers before boarding U.S. Navy ships. There is a battleship, a four star flag on it and close up images of an Admiral. There is a convoy of battleships, supply ships, barges, transport ships, and more. There are troops being instructed with maps on board ship. There are many ships as far as you can see including LSTs full of troops on a beach invasion. There are tanks, Jeeps, trucks, bulldozers, AAA Beach Defense truck, personel carriers moving inland, and many Soldiers with various guns moving into and occupying a town. There is military construction equipment grading an airstrip and a plane landing. There are some civilians and tanks moving into a town. There are Red Cross Hospital tents, abulance trucks, nurses, medics, and injured Soldiers. There are group shots of Soldiers marching, eating, and resting. There are Soldiers at a sign that reads ''ST MARIE DU MONT and CARENTAN''. There is far too much on this long film to describe. The title frames of the film are marked as follows:

SECRET STAFF

WAR DEPARTMENT
NO. 24
PRODUCED BY ARMY PICTORIAL SERVICE
SIGNAL CORPS.

E.T.O.
CHANNEL COAST ACTIVITIES
ARMY PICTORIAL SERVICE

The running time of this film is unknown but the 400 foot film fills all of the 7'' metal reel that it is on. The film appears to be in mint condition.
