| | | The picture below shows a larger front and back view of this 1936 Burke Mountain East Burke Vermont Road Construction Real Photo Post Card. The dates on the two postmarks are August 21 & 22, 1936. It was sent to a Rye Beach, New Hampshire address. It has a green Benjamin Franklin one cent postage stamp. The post card has a photo image of a forest area with boulders and rocks to be cleared for road construction. We do not know the road name or number that was created in the image. The postcard is marked as follows: ROAD CONSTRUCTION BURKE MOUNTAIN PARK EAST BURKE, VT. RICHARDSON 1178 The postcard measures about 5-3/8'' x 3-3/8''. It appears to be in excellent used condition as pictured. |
