The picture shows a view of all (6) Small Old Catholic or Christian Religious Relic Items in this lot. The first item included here is a small wallet like item with two oval openings and clear covers. The embossed cover on the other side reads ''ORATOIRE SAINT JOSEPH DU MONT ROYAL''. It has on the left a picture of a man who is believed to be Frere Andre. The other side has a cloth and felt heart. One side had a Crucifix and the other has a drop of blood. It is marked on the two sides as follows: COPYRIGHT 1929 BROOKLYN, N.Y. BY THE CONFRATERNITY OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD INRI WE BESEECH WHOM THOU THEE HAST HELP THY REDEEMED SERVANTS WITH THY PRECIOUS BLOOD 300 DAYS IND. PLACE ON THY HEART ONE DROP OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS AND FEAR NOTHING WORDS OF POPE PIUS IX The next item is a tiny religious medal. It was found in the small wallet. The medallion is covered in what appears to be wax. We can not tell what is on it unless it was cleaned off. We left it as is. Next there is a small black relic envelope. The edges are sewn and it is sewn closed. You can feel that there is something inside, but we do not know what. It too was found in he wallet. The last two items in this lot are identical religious relic cards. These have a tiny piece of black cloth inside and there is a seal on the back of each. These were also found in the wallet. The two sides of the cards read as follows: Etoffe qui a touche au corps du Frere Andre. C.S.C. (translated: Pack which has key with the body of the Brother Andre) ORATOIRE SAINT JOSEPH DU MONT ROYAL SPES UNICA To judge the sizes the black wallet measures 3-11/16'' x 2-5/16''. These items appear to be in excellent condition as pictured. |
