The pictures show views of this Old World War II Soldier & Sailor Military Photograph Album. Before mentioning the old photographs inside, the album itself should be mentioned. The cover is gold embossed with (11) Americana and patriotic images. These images include the following: Statue of Liberty with arch and banners. ''Columbus Discovered America 1492'' ''Pilgrims Landing At Plymouth Rock 1620'' ''The Famous Ride Of Paul Revere'' ''Washington Crossing The Delaware'' ''The Spirit Of '76'' ''Liberty Bell - Independence Hall'' ''Custer's Last Stand'' ''The Emancipation Of The Slaves'' ''Theodore Roosevelt At San Juan Hill 1898'' ''God Bless America'' There are (158) black & white photographs inside. Most are of Soldiers and Sailors in uniform. There are some scenic ones, Airplanes, Tents, Jeep, Military Vehicles, Trucks, Guns, Barracks Interior, Soldiers working, Cooking, . Some of these may be marked on the back. They were not pulled out to find out. There are some names, signatures, and dates on a few on the front. One is marked ''Camp Lee, Va.'' and it also has a sign that reads: ''CO 'A' 5th MED. TNG. BN. 4th PLATOON''. There are posed Sailor photos as well as candid shots. There are two larger photographs in the back. One looks like it might be an LST ship. The other appears to be a small ships crew on deck. The locations are unknown but could probably be researched if they aren't marked. To judge the sizes the album measures 13-1/2'' x 10-1/2'' x 1''. The album and the photos appear to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. |
