The picture shows a view of all (8) Old Advertising & Souvenir Elongated Cents in this lot. These were all made by a vending machine that rolls a penny between dies. These machines are usually found at popular locations, tourist attractions, arcades, airports, amusement parks, Historical sites, or any number of other similar places. The first elongated cent was a souvenir from Ohio. It has an image of a light house. It is marked: CLEVELAND WEST LIGHTHOUSE OHIO The next one has an emblem in the center with a horse head. It is marked: 2nd ANNIVERSARY N.V.C.C. NOVA CAESAREA NORTHERN VALLEY COIN CLUB JANUARY 1968 DEMAREST, N.J. The next has an image of an owl and a banner. It reads: TEC MEMBER 1968 The next of the elongated cents is an advertising one for a coin dealer of elongated cents. It has some scroll work and reads: ELONGATED COINS BUY - TRADE - SELL LLOYD E. WAGAMAN ROUTE 1 BOX 201F CAMBY, IND. 46113 Next there is a religious one with The Lord's Prayer and one with the preamble to The Delaration of Independence. Next there is one with the Easter rabbit character wearing a top hat and carrying a sign. It reads: 1968 HAPPY EASTER The last token in this lot pictures a book and on it it reads: SPECIAL ISSUE NEW SILVER COIN BOOM 1968 DANNY CRABB 6572 VAN NUYS BLVD. VAN NUYS CALIF. 91401 These each measure around 1-1/2'' long. They are in excellent to mint condition as pictured. |
