The picture shows a front and back view of this 1896 Whitehead & Hoag Company Celluloid Newspaper Boy Pin Back Button. This pinback button was a part of a large 1896 collection that we had acquired. It has black print on an off white background. It pictures a young paper boy holding newspapers and giving someone a hand sign. It is marked on the two sides as follows:

NIT

THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO.
NEWARK, N.J.
PATENTED
JULY 17, 1894
APRIL 14, 1896
JULY 21, 1896

The pin back button measures 7/8'' wide. It appears to be in very good condition with age discoloration and a few tiny spots as pictured.
