The pedometer is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. It was most likely acquired as a mail away premium from Wheaties cereal. What you would do is adjust the meter to your walking stride in inches, then wear it, and it would calculate how many miles you had walked in a given time. With this devise you can keep track of how much you walk every day. On the back there is a clip to hook it on your belt, and a raised banner to engrave your name.
