The picture shows this Old Racist Propaganda Flyer Sheet. This is not dated, but came with other paper items from the same Lowell, Massachusetts Irish printer from the 1930's and 1940's. Please note that Time Passages Nostalgia Company is not prejudice, discriminating, or racist in any way, and does not promote such. This is being offered as an item that is a part of (regretfully) American History. The propaganda flyer is printed in green ink. The scene depicts a city street with buildings and skyscrapers. There is an Irishman carrying and Ireland flag parading on a city street behind two comical looking black men. One is playing a horn, and the other a drum. Both sides of the street are completely lined as far as you can see with Ku Klux Klan members. The K.K.K. people are in their hooded uniforms. It is marked at the top and bottom as follows: ST. PATRICK'S DAY IN GEORGIA SULLIVAN BROS., PRINTERS, LOWELL, MASS. It measures 6" x 8-3/4" and is in near mint to mint condition with folds as made for mailing. |
