Old Painted Plaster or Chalkware Crying Pig Coin Savings Bank
Pig   Hog   Animal   Farm   Farmer   Farming   Plaster   Chalkware   Novelty   Souvenir   Coin   Bank
The picture shows four views around this Old Painted Plaster or Chalkware Crying Pig Coin Savings Bank. This bank is not dated but it is old. It is not marked and the maker is unknown. This bank may have been an old carnival or amusement park game prize. We are not sure why the pig is crying, probably because it is empty. There is no opening in the bottom to remove coins. To get coins out the bank will either have to be broken or taken out the coin slot on the back of the head. This pig bank measures about 7'' tall. It appears to be crudely made but it looks to be in excellent as made condition with some light wear as pictured.
