| | | | The picture shows a view of the (5) Old Souvenir Elephant Figurines in this lot. These are not dated but they are old. The three figures in the front appear to be made of porcelain or ceramic. The back two are made of painted plaster or chalkware. The three in the front are marked ''Japan''. The other two may be marked on the bottoms but they have old felt padding applied. These figures were most likely purchased as a souvenir from a zoo, animal park, circus, amusement park, carnival, boardwalk, or another old tourist attraction gift shop. They also may have been used as a prize from an old arcade game. To judge the sizes the two matching figurines measures 3-1/2'' tall. They appear to range from good to mint condition as pictured. The two plaster or chalkware figures have some surface wear. The gray elephant has some light age crazing. |
