These numbered pinback buttons were used by newspapers for contests. If you matched a published number in the paper you would win a prize. This one was from the Newark Star-Eagle and pictures Tailspin Tommy in the cockpit of an airplane. The number is #E3778. There is a paper insert in the back with a union mark that reads as follows: KEEP AND WEAR THIS BUTTON
