| The picture shows all (7) Roy Rogers Paper Items in this lot. The first item is an old Roy Rogers movie magazine clipping. The advertising is for the movie "HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER" The movie starred Roy Rogers and Trigger along with Ruth Terry, Guinn "Big Boy" Williams, Onslow Stevens, Mary Treen, The Wiere Brothers, Bob Nolan, and The Sons Of The Pioneers. It was a Republic Picture. The ad lists the songs that Roy sings and it mentions "BUY WAR BONDS AND STAMPS" The bottom of the ad is dated February 20, 1944. Next is an unused Roy Rogers & Dale Evans "HAPPY TRAILS" record post card. It pictures Trigger and was a souvenir from the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum. I never played the record to see how it sounds. The last five items here are all unused advertising bookmarks. These were given out at the book store with the purchase of the book "HAPPY TRAILS: OUR LIFE STORY" by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans with Jane and Michael Stern. All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the movie ad measures 13-3/4" x 2-1/4". The ad is in good condition with normal age discoloration, a center fold, and some spotting. The postcard and book marks are mint and unused. |
