The radio was tested and it does work but only a few AM stations seem to play in our area. It takes a regular 9 volt battery (not included). It is marked on the front and back as follows: AM

It has some wear to the silver paint on the front and some small pry marks on the side and bottom where someone had opened the radio to change the battery. |
