The picture below shows a larger view of all (4) Unused ©1956 Mademoiselle Striptease Sexual Comedy Movie Ad Mat Molds in this lot. The ad mats are not dated but they are from 1956 when this movie was made. This film is also known as “PLUCKING THE DAISY”. These are molds in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer made or printed like this. The ad mats are like miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. Two of the admats have movie scene images and the other two have images of scenes with a Stripper, probably Brigitte Bardot, with other dancers or strippers and daisy flowers in the background. These are still connected. The movie advertising ones are marked as follows: BRIGITTE BARDOT FRANCE39;S MOST LUSCIOUS EXPORT AS MADEMOISELLE STRIPTEASE A DCA RELEASE WITTY, WICKED AND WONDERFUL … AS ONLY THE FRENCH CAN DARE!
