Small 1926 Between The Acts Little Cigars Advertising Box
Between The Acts   Cigar   Cigarette   Smoking   Tobacco   Advertising   Box   Package   Packaging   Theatre
The picture shows a front and back view of this Small 1926 Between The Acts Little Cigars Advertising Box. Also shown is the imprinted paper from inside. Also included are some of the 1926 little cigars inside. Because of this, please read the following:

This item is being offered for sale as an old advertising collectible item. It is not intended nor being sold for consumption or use. By buying this item you agree to take full responsibility for the old contents. You agree that you will not hold Time Passages Nostalgia Company liable or responsible for any injury or illness that may result by anyone mistakenly smoking or eating the contents now or any time in the future.

The box slides open like a match box. On the box it has a 1926 United States Internal Revenue tax stamp that has an image of Kentucky Senator and Speaker of the House Henry Clay (1777 - 1852). The paper inside has an image of two men in a tuxedo with top hat & cane lounging and smoking. Apparently the ''Between The Acts'' cigars are small enough (about the size of a cigarette) to smoke between the scenes or acts of a theatre play. The cigars were made at Factory Number 17 in the District of Virginia. The front or top of the box has a colorful design and it is marked as follows:

BETWEEN THE ACTS
LITTLE CIGARS
PROTECTED BY U.S. TRADE MARK
THH
THOS H. HALL
NEW YORK MANUFACTURED BY
P. LORILLARD COMPANY
SUCCESSOR

At one time these little cigar packages contained an advertising premium trading card. We have sold a few of these old cards that pictured different old theatres in Boston, Massachusetts. To judge the sizes the box measures 3-3/8'' x 3'' x 3/8''. The box and inside paper appear to be in good used condition with some wear and tear as pictured. Most of the top flap is missing. There are 3-1/2 of the cigars remaining inside and they are broken in half and there is loose tobacco.
