There were a sex of six different panels to this 1937 ''Travels With Time'' series. Included here are three of the six different sets, #2, #5, and #6. All three of these have the box back and side panel. Two of them even have the box bottom which gives more information about the panel. The complete set had two panels from each: Air, Water, and Land. The panels have colorful diorama sections to cut out, fold and stand up to create a transportation scene. One of these also has a Glider Airplane to cut out, assemble, and fly. Included on these 1937 Quaker Oats cereal panels are the following: Set Number 2 (Water) ''Queen Mary'' Ocean Liner or Cruise Ship ''Mayflower'' Sailing Ship ''Robert E. Lee'' Riverboat or Paddle Boat ''Flatboat'' ''Wm. Penn'' Modern Ferry ''Ferry'' 18th Century (has the bottom panel) Set Number 5 (Air) Paper Glider Airplane Model Kit Parachute with Paratrooper Lilienthal's Glider Modern Glider Set Number 6 (Air) China Clipper Airplane Curtiss Hydroplane Wright Brothers Boeing Airliner Pitcairn Autogiro with Background Scenery (has the bottom panel) To judge the sizes the box panel set on the left measures 7-5/8'' x 12''. These box panels appear to be in good condition as pictured. There are a few water lines on the backs. The #5 set has a light crease on the left side and on the right side of the same one is a 1'' tear. |
