| | | The picture shows a view of this 1911 Gardiner Maine Street Car & Sleigh Real Photo Post Card. This real photo postcard is postmarked Gardiner, Maine September 11th, 1911. It has a one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp. It was mailed to a Tremont Street, Roxbury, Massachusetts address. The photograph has some buildings, two old streetcars, a horse pulling a person in a sleigh. One sign can partially be read ''LEONARD''. One of the streetcars is marked ''LEWISTON 322'' The front of the card is marked as follows: DEPOT SQ. GARDINER ME. The message on the back reads as follows: We had drink of cider on the votes, Ha, Ha, Vote Yes. Dear Sister: I am glad to see you are having nice weather hope you are having just as good a time. Lewis and Vena The postcard measures 5-7/16'' x 3-7/16''. It is in excellent used condition. There is some light corner wear and a tiny corner crease in the upper left corner as pictured. |
