| | | | The pictures show views of this Old Boxed Ideal Toy Corporation Greyhound Dog Champions Model Kit. The box and instructions are not dated, but this kit is believed to be from the 1950s or the early 1960s. This model kit was one in a series of dogs. The others in the series included a wire haired fox terrier, collie, boxer, beagle, english bull dog, scotch terrier, cocker spaniel, french poodle, and german shepherd. The box shows a Greyhound dog running, but the actual model is of the dog standing. Someone had done a fine job assembling and gluing the dog parts together, but it has not been painted. The unused paint palette and paint brush are included as well as the scrap plastic sprue parts and the instructions. The dog model measures 7-3/4'' tall and the advertising box measures 11'' x 8'' x 2-1/2''. Over all the kit appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. The dog is assembled but not painted. The box has some fading, a small water spot in the upper right corner, and one neatly split corner. |
