The picture shows a view of all (19) Small 1940s World War II Home Front Patriotic Items in this lot. Most of these items are small Service Star flags showing that you have a family member (or more) serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. They all have a single star except the one on the card, which has two. One is a pin with a U.S. Army insignia with crossed cannons and an early plastic flag. The carded flag pin is also plastic. All of the others are cloth. The card reads as follows: SERVICE PIN THE INSIGNIA OF HONOR TO THE WEARER. SHOWING THAT MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD ARE IN THE COUNTRY'S DEFENSE. Also included in this lot is a metal Sweetheart pin with a hanging cross charm. The last item is a celluloid pin back button that is actually from World War I. It has the Statue of Liberty and it is marked as follows: GET BEHIND THE GOVERNMENT LIBERTY LOAN OF 1917 To judge the sizes the paper card measures 2-1/16'' x 2-1/2''. These appear to be in excellent to mint condition as pictured. |
