Big Eyed   Pity Puppy   Dog   Animal   Gig   Artist   Art   Print   Nostalgic
The picture shows a view of this 1960s Big Eyed Pity Puppy Gig Art Print. The print is mounted on a heavy paper board. This print is by the contemporary Artist Gig and was created in the 1960s when many Artists like Keane, Igor, Eden, Lee, Sherle, and many others were doing these big eyed or sad children, kitten, puppy, and animal art works. The image is of a young puppy under a junk yard fence with old cans, a bottle, and rusted auto parts. There is printed fascimile signature. It is marked on the front and back as follows:

GIG ©
© D.A.C., N.Y. (for DONALD ART COMPANY, INC.)
NO. 321 - PUBLISHED FOR CREATIVE MANOR GALLERIES
LITHO IN U.S.A.

''PITY PUPPY''
GIG
CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN
GIG, A RENOWNED ILLUSTRATOR, IS FAMOUS FOR THE WIDE-EYED AND PATHETIC KITTIES AND PUPPIES HE CREATED.
CAT. NO. 321

The print is unframed. It measures 11'' x 14''. The image side appears to be in near mint condition. The back has a little paper loss that is probably from being framed at one time.
