| | | | The picture below shows a larger view of the Complete Set of (6) Zulu Lulu Hard Plastic Drink Mixer Swizzle Sticks in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. They are made of translucent brown hard plastic. The maker is unknown. Originally these were sold mounted on a card with palm trees, a hut, a black african boy, and one of the swizzle sticks in a glass with a drink and ice. These show the body changes of a black african woman, named Lulu, over time. This complete set has her at age 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years old. The numbers are on her waist. The card is not included, but it states “THE NEWEST SWIZZLE STICK SENSATION...” and “ZULU-LULU WILL MAKE YOUR GUESTS BUST OUT LAUGHING!”, and “LOOK WHAT A FEW YEARS DO TO LULU!”. All six of these for one price! The swizzle sticks each measure about 6'' tall. They appear to be in near mint to mint condition as pictured. |
