The picture below shows a larger view of all (12) Different Small Old United States Mailman or Letter Carrier Related Items in this lot. This is an accumulated lot with a variety of items. None of these items are dated and the years that they were all made are unknown. The makers are also unknown. Included in this lot are the following: There is a colorful porcelain U.S. Mailman figure and a porcelain U.S. mail box. These are both salt or pepper shakers. We do not know if these are a set or not, but they do go well together. They are both probably from the 1930s. They are both marked “JAPAN” on the bottom, and both have the cork stopper in the bottom. Next there is a plastic mail truck or car. This is a postage stamp holder. It holds coil stamps. The back opens to insert the coil, and the front opens with a sponge to wet the stamps. There are (2) painted wooden mail boxes with birds and flower pots. One is marked “New Hampshire” and the other is marked “Twin Mountains, N.H.”. One is missing the little dried flowers. There are (2) small or miniature painted plastic Mailman playset figures. Next there is a green plastic playset public mailbox. There is a painted metal mail box. It is marked “MAIL” on the box and “MADE IN TAIWAN” on the bottom. This may be for or from a Department 56 or other Christmas type village set. The last two items are different tin metal mail boxes one is red with a heart and a teddy bear, and the other is silver in color. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the Cute old porcelain mailman measures 3-1/8'' tall. These items appear to range from excellent to mint condition as pictured. |
