The picture shows two views of this Old Painted Celluloid Japanese Toy Ship Figurine. This ship is not dated but it is old. The ship has a winged dragon on the bow, and seven figures inside. We do not know the symbolism of the people inside or of the ship itself. There must be a story that goes behind it. The ship and figures are hollow celluloid with no cracks. We had another similar to this but it had a sail. There is no place to mount a sail on this one. There are no markings but we assume that it was made in Japan. The ship or boat measures about 5-3/4" long x 4" tall. It is in mint condition as pictured.
