The picture shows a view of this 1964 - 1965 New York World's Fair Simulated Wood Advertising Souvenir Tray. The center is seen darker because it is further away from the scanner light. This tray is made of hard plastic but looks as though it was carved out of wood. There are two finger holes at the top and a smaller hole below them to hang on a wall. It has raised images of different exhibits at the Fair. It is marked on the front as follows: NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR FEDERAL PAVILION THE PORT OF N.Y. AUTHORITY UNISPHERE HELIPORT SWISS SKY RIDE ELECTRIC POWER & LIGHT MONORAIL The back also looks as though it is carved. It reads as follows: ©1961 - 1963 N.Y.W.F. UNISPHERE ¨ PRESENTED BY USS UNITED STATES STEEL MADE IN U.S.A. The plaque or tray measures 11-5/8'' x 10-1/4''. It appears to be in mint as made condition. |
