The picture below shows a larger view of this Old Larry Laurios Lauriosen Colby Jr College New London New Hampshire Ski School Cloth Patch. The patch has an image of a skier skiing with a crown over them, and it is marked as follows:

LARRY
LAURIOS LAURIOSEN
SKI SCHOOL

King Ridge opened on December 23, 1961 as a 500 vertical foot ski area. The initial operation included five Alice in Wonderland themed trails served by a T-Bar and a rope tow. Uniquely, the King Ridge was built as an upside down ski area, as the main lodge and parking lot were both located at the summit of the area. Bill Bardsley, formerly of nearby Mt. Sunapee, was hired as the general manager and was credited with coming up with the Alice in Wonderland naming scheme. Laurids Lauridsen served as ski school director. After relatively successful 88 day opening season, the Northside complex was developed for 1962 - 1963, serviced by a T-Bar. In addition, the main lodge was doubled in size, capping a $88,000 expansion. 1962 - 1963 was also successful, resulting in a 67% increase in business. With no snowmaking system in place, King Ridge found itself struggling during fickle season in the mid 1960s. Nevertheless, the area continued on, thanks in part to having a stream of revenue flowing from nearby Colby Junior College students.

The cloth patch measures about 2-5/8'' x 3-7/8''. It appears to be in good used condition as pictured.

Below here, for reference, Is the Obituary that was found for Laurids Lauridsen:

He was on the faculty of Proctor Academy, Andover, N.H. 1946 - 1952, then operated Laurids Lauridsen Antiques in New London until 1977. While at Proctor he learned to ski and developed a passion for the sport which he passed on to thousands as manager of The Northeast Slopes in New London from 1953 - 1961 and director/owner of The Laurids Lauridsen Ski School at King Ridge Ski Area, which he helped found, 1961 - 1980. As a member of the New London Historical Society from 1956 to the present, he was a guiding light and inspiration in the development of the Society’s “Old New London” 19th century village, serving as a director for over 40 years and several terms as its president. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of New London serving as Chariman of the Restoration Committee 1959 - 1962 and a Deacon. He received the New London Chamber of Commerce Service Award in 1982 and the William M. Beall Award in 1991. Bud was also a member of King Solomon’s Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM and the Profile Automobile League. Bud instilled his love of skiing, antiques, community and antique cars to the many who know him.
