The picture shows a view of this Unused ©1955 The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from the 1955 movie. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has a kissing movie scene and an image with a lady's long legs on a swing from the movie. It is marked as follows: 20th CENTURY FOX PRESENTS ''THE GIRL IN THE RED VELVET SWING'' CINEMASCOPE COLOR BY DE LUXE STARRING RAY MILLAND - JOAN COLLINS - FARLEY GRANGER PRODUCED BY CHARLES BRACKETT IN THE WONDER OF STEREOPHONIC SOUND DIRECTED BY RICHARD FLEISCHER WRITTEN BY WALTER REISCH AND CHARLES BRACKETT A UNIVERSAL INTERNATIONAL PICTURE SIGNATURE 28 LINES x 2 COL.
