On the end of the handle is ''ADMIRAL DEWEY'' and scrollwork. There is also a (14) star American flag on the back. It is difficult to see in the picture but in the bowl it has the U.S. Navy ship U.S.S. Olympia. It is marked as follows: ADMIRAL DEWEY
