| | | The picture shows a view of all (10) Different Old Hand Painted Celluloid People Charms in this lot. These are not dated but they are from the 1920s or 1930s. The manufacturer is unknown but they are marked ''JAPAN''. These type charms were used as a premium or prize on liquor bottles, beer bottles, bread wrappers, as carnival prizes, and sold in different old novelty catalogs. Included in this lot are the following people: Marching Soldier with gun Western Cowboy Western Cowboy Young Girl in skirt (saluting and maybe a Girl Scout) Man in suit ( sea captain ? railroad conductor ?) Circus Clown Ice Skater Bass Player Musician Dutch Girl with buckets Man on Bicycle (cyclist) Each has a loop to hang it on a charm bracelet and three include a silk string. To judge the sizes the cowboys each measure about 1-1/4'' tall. These appear to be in near mint to mint as made condition as pictured. |
