There is only one cannon included here and several view are shown on it. It is not dated. It is old, but the year that it was made is unknown. It is detailed, but there are no markings. The cannon is painted. It is made of a non magnetic metal like lead, brass, or aluminum. The axle, spring, and adjustment screw are steel. The cannon will fire things such as small match sticks, tooth picks, nails, and the like. It has a lever that you pull back and let go to fire after loading the barrel. Careful you don’t “Put Your Eye Out!”. There is a screw that you could adjust the height of the cannon. We are guessing that this would work well with the average size of toy play set figures. The wheels do roll, and it could be hitched to a horse team as well. To judge the sizes, the Soldier laying down, aiming his gun, at the left, in the middle row, measures about 3-5/8'' long. Most of these appear to be in excellent to mint condition with great paint. There are a few that are missing the end of their gun as pictured. |
