The picture shows a view of the (2) Different Old United Commercial Travelers Fraternal Member Jewelry Items in this lot. These are not dated but both of them are old. They are made of an unknown gold colored metal and they have not been tested for gold. The left one has a tiny suitcase hanging from chains. It is enameled in blue and white. U.C.T. stands for United Commercial Travelers, and is a fraternity organization that in the beginning offered some accidental insurance coverage along with the fraternal part of the group. This is a screw back button and the back section is included. The front and back are marked as follows: FT. WAYNE NO. 212 U.C.T. AULD GOLD (or COLD ?) L. G. BALFOUR CO. (on screw back section) The right one is a small necklace charm or pendant. Both sides are identical. There was a chain clasp on it when it was found. It is included. There is a monogram in the center and a frame design around the octagon shape. It is marked on the two sides as follows: AMA THE COMMERCIAL TRAVELERS UTICA, N.Y. To judge the sizes, the screw back pin on the left measures 9/16" wide. These appear to be in near mint to mint condition as pictured. |
