| | | The picture shows a view of this Old Kellogg's Cereal Prize United States Navy Baking Powder PT Boat with Instructions. The boat and the instruction sheet are not dated and the year that this prize used in cereal boxes is unknown. The original PT boat cereal prize was from 1955 and it was gray in color. This one is a light blue. This is the first time we have seen this particular version. Instead of the instructions calling for baking powder (as in previous PT Boats, Submarines, and Navy Frogmen), the instructions recommend using pieces of Alka-Seltzer tablets, specifically Alka Seltzer Gold Antacid Tablets because they are aspirin free. Either way the boat is propelled forward by the bubbles that are made when in water. The boat is marked ''KELLOGG CO.'' on top. To judge the sizes the PT Boat measures 2'' long. It appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured. |
