Carroll Nash was Durham, New Hampshire's first full time Fire Chief hired on March 2, 1936. It is unknown when he retired or left the fire department. The tiebar is made of an unknown gold colored metal. It has a five crossed fire horn emblem and it is engraved as follows: C. NASH
