| | | The picture shows views of this Boxed & Unused Altona 1940s Collection Miniature Table Radio in and out of its box. This radio is not dated and we do not know the year that it was made. It is a small replica of a classic art deco table radio from the 1940s. Normally we do not sell new replicas or reproductions, but we made an exception in this case. The radio has never been used. We did take it out of the box and tried it to make sure that it works, and it does. It takes two AA batteries (not included). It does include a wire antenna that plugs in the back and the original instruction booklet. The radio plays AM and FM. The small radio is made to look like it was made of bakelite with a cloth grill or speaker cover. It also has a nice looking dial in the center. On the back of the radio it is marked ''Copyright Micron Technology''. The box pictures some old comic strip characters. On the back of the box there are color pictures of the six different radios in this Altona 1940s collection. The back of the box also reads as follows: New Life For Old Radios * New Micro Sensitive Toshiba Technology * Shock Proof Construction * FM AM Reception * Rotary Volume Control * State Of The Art Built In FM Antenna, Flexible Wire Antenna Included * Operates On 2 ''AA'' Type Batteries (Not Included) The radio measures about 4-3/4'' x 3-3/8'' x 1-3/4'' (counting the knobs). It is boxed and in mint unused condition as pictured. This would make a nice gift item for a radio fan or collector. |
