| | | | The picture shows the (2) Colorful Old Speedball Ink Pen Advertising Items in this lot. The first item is an old Speedball Pen Lettering and Poster Design (90) page book by Ross F. George. Shown is the cover and a sample page. The booklet is very detailed. There are many images, advertising, and pages with pictured instruction on how to create many different font designs with the pens. They go from the simple to very ornate. The book is in excellent condition with only light wear to the cover. The next item included here is a boxed set of Speedball ink pen nibs or tips. This looks like it could be an advertising display. The front and the back are shown. All (24) pen tip are mounted on a printed card stock backing. These are "Speedball Triple Reservoir Pens". All are bright and shiny but the bottom row scanned dark. The back also pictures ink bottles. The box is not pictured but included. It is white with print on one edge that reads: "Hunt's SPEEDBALL Card [24 Pens]". the set and card are in mint condition. The card contains the following types of different sized tips: (6) Style 'A' Square Tips
(6) Style 'B' Round Tips
(6) Style 'C' Oblong Tips
(6) Style 'D' Oval Tips The two items here are both from the C. Howard Hunt Pen Company of Camden, New Jersey. They are not dated but are believed to be from the 1930s or 1940s. The book measures 6" x 9" and the card with tips measues 7-1/8" x 9-5/8". |
