The picture shows a view of the (4) Small Woman Native Costume Toy Dolls on Stands in this lot. The dolls are not dated and the year that they were made is unknown. The doll on the right is marked on the base ''ELIF - ISTANBUL - TURKEY''. These four dolls were found together and they are believed to be from the same country. They may have been bought as souvenirs from a trip to Turkey. The dolls are fully dressed in very detailed costumes and each is on a base. They each have colorful layers of clothing and head coverings. The left one has two coins on her chest and is carrying a pail or bucket. She is on an unmarked marbleized plastic base. The next one is holding what appears to be candles on plates. Two of the tiny candles have fallen off and are missing. The base is marked ''HUNER''. The third one the woman has a long wooden horn. The base on this one is also marked ''HUNER''. All four of these for one price! To judge the sizes the largest doll measures about 8-1/2'' tall. They appear to be in excellent to near mint condition as pictured. |
